One Claim Just Exposed Your Coverage Holes
Most Business Owners Discover Their Gaps Too Late
You file a claim thinking you're covered. Insurance company denies it. Now you're scrambling. We work backwards from real claims—not hypotheticals—to make sure you're protected where it matters. Wyoming and Colorado contractors have taught us exactly what goes wrong.

Your Business Risks Aren't Generic
A contractor's risk isn't a restaurant's risk. Oil field work isn't retail. We specialize in Wyoming and Colorado contractors because your coverage should be built for your actual business, your actual cycles, and your actual risks—not a template from a call center 1,000 miles away.

FAQs
When insuring your boat, you generally have two main valuation options. "Actual Cash Value" (ACV) coverage pays out the replacement cost of your boat or parts, minus depreciation, meaning the payout will reflect its current market value, not what you originally paid for it. "Agreed Value" coverage, on the other hand, means you and your insurer agree on a specific value for your boat at the start of the policy, and that's the fixed amount you'll receive if it's declared a total loss, regardless of depreciation. For newer or custom vessels, Agreed Value often provides greater peace of mind. We can help you decide which option best fits your boat and budget.
Yes, strongly recommended. Landlord insurance covers the building, not your belongings. If there's a fire, theft, or water damage, your landlord's insurance won't replace your stuff. Plus, if a guest is injured in your apartment and sues, personal liability coverage protects you from paying thousands out of pocket. It's affordable protection for your most valuable assets.
Standard boat and personal watercraft insurance policies generally exclude certain situations. This often includes normal wear and tear, mechanical breakdown due to lack of maintenance, insect or animal damage, or damage from intentional acts. Using your boat for racing or commercial purposes (unless specifically endorsed) is also typically not covered. It's important to read your policy carefully to understand limits and exclusions, a process JWR Insurance is happy to help you with so there are no surprises.
Liability-only insurance covers damages and injuries you cause to other people and their property. "Full coverage" typically adds collision and comprehensive coverage, protecting your own vehicle from accidents, theft, or natural disasters like a Wyoming hailstorm. If you have a newer car, an auto loan, or want maximum protection, full coverage is often recommended. For older vehicles, liability-only might suffice, but consider the financial risk.
It depends on your location. If you're in a FEMA flood zone or near a river/creek, flood insurance is essential—standard home insurance DOES NOT cover flood. Even if you're not in a flood zone, flash flooding happens. Wyoming's sudden storms and Colorado's seasonal flooding make it worth considering, especially if you're in Casper's North Platte area or along Front Range streams. We can assess your risk.
